I decided to make the swap from console with the encouragement of my roommate who plays PC. It was a no-brainer as my current laptop and my PS4 were both dying. I decided to save up and spare little expense since I looked at the build as an investment. I wanted it to last me for years to come.

Runs most everything at 144+ fps @ 1440p with small tweaks to in-game graphics settings.

Future upgrades include: Better Desk, Gaming Chair, RGB Tenkeyless Keyboard (no shame), 240Hz Monitor (black friday?).

Part Reviews

CPU Cooler

Keeps my i9 9900k cooled well.

Thermal Compound

Much better than pre-applied thermal compound.

Plenty of USB and fan headers. BIOS is easy to use.

Video Card

High frames @ high resolution with low temps. Fairly quite IMO.

Good for console gaming. Used as second monitor.

Great monitor! Got it on on sale for a good deal. If anyone is interested in 144Hz gaming @ 1440p look no further than this bad boy. You wont regret it.

Compact Design! Sturdy Build! Cherry MX Reds.

Great entry level mouse. Has 2 side mouse buttons and adjustable DPI.... and RGB.

My second pair of these. They work good for about a year and then the sound starts to go out. I wont be buying a third once these finally stop working (which will be soon, they already failing).
