Description

Just short of three years ago, I posted up my completed build, The Modest Hero (https://nz.pcpartpicker.com/b/DwXLrH)

I've made some big improvements since then, and have really tried my best to cable manage appropriately in the new case. I finally upgraded my AMD 7850 to a GTX 1070 FTW, and replaced the stock cooler with something a little more effective.

Overall, I'm so happy with this build, 3 years on. I think with these upgrades it should last me another two years before I need to replace the motherboard / CPU.

This thing destroys the games I play in 1440p at ultra settings - which makes me smile :-)

Hope you guys like the progress I've made. If you have any suggestions as to further upgrades / moves I can make, I'd be happy to hear what you think.

Cheers!

CPU Cooler

Perfect. Just what the doctor ordered -- quiet and gets the job done nicely. Covers a RAM slot I wasn't planning to use anyway.

Man that case got popular out of no where. Clean build by the way :)

Yep that glass is the cause. I was going to get it too but the the NZXT S340 Elite came out so going for that instead. Looks more clean classy.

Nice build! So roomy! You could throw another one of everything in it!

Could you provide the clearance of your CPU cooler? And did you have to raise it at all to fit the RAM?
