Description

Mainly used for gaming and running my e-commerce business from home.

It isn't a perfect outcome I would have loved to of had a 1060 6gb but my budget was tight the month I had to build it. An obvious upgrade will be a mechanical keyboard in a month or two and an upgrade to from 8Gb to 16GB of ram if the price ever becomes reasonable in the near future. I'm happy overall with the look and performance I have achieved so far.

Overclocked the CPU to a stable 3.9Ghz on the stock AMD cooler and temps are around 40-50 under load and GPU around 60 while gaming on PUBG or BF1 for example as the EVGA card has only 1 fan I have seen this is a normal GPU temp for this card as I thought it was a little high.

The way I see it this is just the beginning of my PC building journey and on my first attempt I achieved what I set out to do.

Wait, now you got me curious, what was it you set out to do?

LOL I mean now that's me hooked on pc building I'm gonna be adding better parts and maybe building more systems I set out to start off with a decent build and then start my way towards building a top-tier system I just wanted to see if I could do it first.

I’m thinking of doing a build very similar to this (same case, same gpu). How is your overall experience with it?

gary7dayz submitter 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

Been great so far in terms of performance I'm hitting well above 70fps on high settings on pubg and BF1 so gaming has been good. For general computing it has also been as good as I could have hoped for.

Does the keyboard actually feel mechanical? Nice build man

gary7dayz submitter 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

Not really if you have ever used one you can feel the difference. It certainly feels better than an average membrane keyboard and was a bargain for the money if you can I would stretch to around £50 for a basic mechanical keyboard.

Nice build, man. Love the red theme. Can’t wait to see the upgrades that you do. Definitely keep us posted, man.

Thanks man I'm happy how it turned out for a first attempt I have upgraded to another identical monitor and a new Corsair K70 keyboard just gonna wait a year before sticking a RTX 2060 in it when they are released or a 1080 depends on price v's performance.
