Who the hell do you think I am???!??!??!
Bought it in phases.. Got the processor on ebay used from a reputable seller for 270. Went with a Z170 mobo in order to BCLK overclock it to 4.5ghz...poor man's i7. m.2 is the boot drive, the SSD I got on sale and is for games and the 3tb HDD is for storage.
I had one RX480 from a previous system but I decided to upgrade and get an HTC Vive so I added another one. After much testing, my GPU Core temps were in the mid 80's... still under specs but too toasty for my comfort... sprung for Arctic Accelero Twin Turbo II coolers for both cards. Even at 100% the fans aren't as loud as the stock cooler and now both are sitting in the high 60's while benchmarking... Also, no more throttling :)
Keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc where from previous build.
Oh yeah, I sprung for the NZXT cooling so I got the Hue+ and I ordered 3 Aer 140MM Fans to replace all of the case fans. I will update with pics once they come in. I mostly just use it as white or the setting to run with the audio bass but the disco Spectrum setting is fun but only a few minutes at a time :)
I got it cheap second hand on ebay and it overclocked like a champ... has been running steadily at 4.5GHZ. I haven't tried to go any higher, it's not really needed.
Quiet Unit.. very classy and the lighting is entertaining plus it keeps my CPU cool and is very quiet
I wish it had more fan headers..... other than that it's been solid so far
I have to have my slots full.... lol that didn't come out right. Anyway's I knew I would never need more than 16GB of RAM so I went ahead and got a 4x4GB configuration because it looks more "complete" to me. Good value for the money and have been stable so far
Very fast....very very fast. I am booting up very quickly at around the 10 second mark with this SSD and the mobo's Ultra Fast boot setting
Ask me now and I should have gotten two but that's because I loaded almost all my games on here. The loading times are significantly reduced and I actually got this drive for $87 on sale in amazon
I can't hear it and it's huge.... I haven't had it for years yet so I can't comment on the longevity but so far so good.
I originally bought these for the backplate and the higher clocks, I bought the first one when there weren't any 3rd party coolers available yet and had to get the second to match. Then I ditched it all and had to upgrade the coolers to Arctic Accelero Twin Turbo II. Very quiet and very cool but was it worth it??? Probably not, plus the stickers don't match my red and black build so I'm going to have to do something about that.... They used to throttle and I would get warnings about my GPU being in the mid 80s so I'm not going to rate them as 5 stars.
Very easy to work in... very pretty and obviously very classy with the tempered glass front.
Got it hoping to be able to play 4k Blurays on it.... I'm hoping somebody comes through on this front. It can read the discs but currently there's no player out. PowerDVD might be the first here soon
Freesync is awesome... don't pay more for GSync
J key is very sensitive
Gets it done and it's cheap enough to replace if it breaks
