Description

Thanks to all who helped with part selection here on PCP. My first ever build was a thrilling experience!

Had an extra HDD lying around and already owned a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, so that helped with the costs.

Stuck with the stock CPU cooler for now since I went over my budget, but I will eventually look into aftermarket coolers and dabble in overclocking once I do a bit more research on the subject.

The only hiccup I had while building was that the H440 LEDs failed to turn on at first. Found the issue in a completely pulled/cut wire which is connected to the LED power board on the back of the case. Not sure if I yanked it while building or it came like this, but I was not willing to RMA. A little electric tape seemed to have done the trick for now.

I thought about the Twin Frozr, I believe there is some magic MSI have with the MB and graphics card. Have you benchmarked yet? It would be interesting to see the difference between our machines as they are so similar. How much difference Win 8.1 makes, etc.

It's running any game I throw at it at max settings flawlessly and reaching no more than 70ish degrees on load. Haven't ran any benchmark software yet. Is there one you would recommend?
