Description

My build for (eventual) 1440p/144hz gaming with some streaming thrown in. 4790K for streaming. Mobo was picked more off looks than off price, but it's also a great board. HDD is just a brand preference, so I payed a bit more there. 295x2 is probably (imo) the best price/performance GPU out there. 1300W PSU was only $10 more than the 1000W, and it came with a $30 MIR, so I couldn't pass it up. Love the case. Great look, spacious, and excellent air flow.

r9 295x2 is a sick card, too bad people would rather buy a 980 than it though :{

I had actually originally planned on SLI 970s. Then there was the whole fiasco with them and their VRAM issues and the way Nvidia handled it kinda turned me off from them. So I went with this instead and I think it was the better decision anyway.

well it depends fromt he plac eyou live. For example, I live in Canada and in Canada two 980 costs almsot the same as 1 r9 295x2 depending in the merchant. 2 980 would be like 200$ more than 1 r9 295x2 and would destroy it

That price on that graphics card. Damn. If I were you, I'd dlip that gpu rad 180 degrees so the tubing will not kink and it will look much cleaner

Amazing. Looks like some really nice clean cable management, and some amazing parts. Makes me a bit jealous. I really like the water cooling. +1

How is the XFX graphic card? I want to buy it sooo bad, but the reviews do not look good.

So far, it's been great. I haven't gotten a chance to throw any super demanding games at it yet though.

I would have gotten 2 r9 290x instead of that only because than you can say you have two and that's badass lol

One issue I see is the power supply. Why all that power? 1000w is perfect and cheaper anyway. Though the mobo is a great decision I strongly recommend msi boards. That are of lower value and have great reviews.

It's base price was only $10 more and after the mail-in-rebate, it ends up being $20 cheaper.

Plus the 1300w gives you the headroom to add a 290x if you are feeling adventurous.

Good point but you don't need all that power for what he has you might as well not spend the extra cash.
