Description

UPDATE: 3200 16gb ram installed. RTX 2060 running strong! Minimum FPS is 60. Max at 142. BF5, GTA V, The Witcher 3. Looks amazing, runs smooth. Temps study around 40c but have reached 74 when I push it. Thanks for the feedback everyone.

So far so good! It’s nice to play epic settings on a few games hitting about 40-50 FPS. Reached 120fps on medium. The case was small and limited with my extension cables but I crammed it all in and managed my cables well. But what else to expect for the case. It’s perfect for me anyway. I did have a tough time mounting the cpu, you have to be precise that’s for sure. (First time) The case fans aren’t too colorful. Yeah they reach red green and blue very easy but custom colors are almost too much for them. But again, what to expect for $35 3-pack. I do wish the rgb Connectors were made to go on the Mobo as I wanted the exhaust fan to be a different color than the intakes. Unfortunately these are made to connect to the 3 way splitter. Oh well, should’ve don’t more research. Overall I am pleased! Amazing upgrade for myself! Performs better than expected!

This build really impresses me. Especially for the $800 price.

Shouldn't you be getting at least 60 FPS in every game with that GPU?

His ram is a bottleneck to the CPU and GPU

Definitely, should of gone with 16GB at 3000 speed. Especially since is a Ryzen system

He could just overclock it to 3200 at 1.35 volts.

I have the 16gb 3200mhz on the way. I used the 2400 to turn it on and make sure everything worked. I’ll post an update tomorrow when I install new RAM

I have the same built but my 3000 mhz ram is showing just 2666 mhz , idk what is wrong, can you please check the latest bios if it is compatible, did you face the same problem with this motherboard?

I oc to 3200 and resulted in 2966

If I lower to high graphics instead of epic I’ll reach 60-80

Upgrade the ram to a 3000mhz or 3200mhz 16g, you are bottlenecking your system with your current ram, with that small change you should be able to see a dramatic increase in Framerates

Does anyone have a good overclock guide for this cpu. I'm trying to get 4.1 or 4.2 ghz

Started with a rx 580. Then switched to the rtx

Do not go above 2666 mhz on the ram, that cpu is limited to 2667 mhz and is unlikely to successfully overclock higher. Although 2 x 8gig ram would prove a massive increase to your gaming experience with that build.

That is not true, in fact 2600 goes best with 3000mhz RAM

Woops was thinking of wrong one processor, I dropped the ball on that one. The AMD website states it will go stable at 2933. My bad earlier. On what MB did you find it goes beyond that? My X470 won't let me POST even at 3000. :/

False, get the 3000mhz

This is incredibly false. What makes you say that? Edit: I mean the false ram speed ceiling. Get at least 3000. Going from 3000 to 3200 will increase performance incrementally, while going from what you had to what you ordered (3200) will dramatically increases performance.
