The build is beautiful aesthetically, but why do you need a $400 motherboard?

it has a lot of features built in like m.2 sata, wifi, bluetooth, plus i plan on upgrading the processor later.

Nice. Could you please update the prices to what you actually paid.

how did you fit that in there?

No offense but wow a lot of that is overpriced.

Looks like these are the current prices on the parts, he didn't put in prices actually paid.

  • 1 point

Yea I know they are current prices, just the price of these parts doesn't seem worth it to me.

I would agree that the motherboard and ram are a little pricey, but otherwise it seems just fine. PSU seems like overkill, but allows for another 780Ti.

Notice how microcenter and Bestbuy are the only sources. This is most likely because he wanted to buy the parts from reliable sources. I bet if Newegg and Amazon were thrown into the mix, he would've saved, but he prefers the convenience of easy return policy to saving $100-200 US. I'm the same way. I bought everything at Microcenter because I wanted easy return, and also because my dad refused to let me buy it from anywhere online since he didn't trust anyone.

With the way the parts list is setup now, it is just going to show pricing based on your preferred merchants. It will also changes based on the website you use (UK, US, Canada ect). If he manually enters the prices, they will not change under any circumstances.

Be careful with that GPU cooler, The VRMS arn't cooled that well and may get to hot. Especially when overclocking, you'll be to craft a heatsink to go over them. That's what other people have had to do with that cooler.

Thanks for the warning, there are heatspreaders you can get for the vrm

Holy crap dude.

I've seen so many H440 builds, some even with custom loops, but in that lighting that you've got man...

The beauty is mindblowing. And the G10 bracket too...

Nice build, I'm thinking about getting the same mobo (z97 Deluxe). However, if you plan on sli in the future will dual gpus run at 16x/16x or 8x/8x?

  • 1 point

8x, the Z97-WS has dual 16x.

Very nice build. I think you paid too much for certain components, but ultimately it's your dime.
