Build

Intrepid Blue

by jamesflett1

Description

I wanted to build a future proof PC that would perform well at any task thrown at it. The original build was to be water cooled with intricate tube design but it ended up breaking the bank. The large empty space on the right was where the pump and reservoir would have gone but I like the empty space and there is fantastic air flow. I originally wanted the radiator on the top but it obstructed the mobo so it was moved to the front and vent fans took their place.

The BeCool case was extremely easy to work with and i didn't feel i was fighting the case at all. The only speed bump I hit was removing the power supply shroud but that was only because I overlooked a screw that needed removed.

Just curious why Optane over other more affordable NAND NVMes? Any in particular workstation use or just, because of 3D XPoint benefits?

how well does that cool that? i had that on my 9900k and i couldn't even all-core 5 GHz. but your build looks great almost identical to mine.

It's good you didn't mount the rad up top, cause there's virtually no ventilation.
