I wanted a small factor PC but with high performance. So the first thing i chose was Fractal Design Node 804. It looks beautiful, and have plenty of space.
Purpose of my build was to support high end gaming and video streaming via Plex. My past experiences with Plex haven't been good with an i5 processor, so I wanted an i7 and thus got 6700K. It's not overclocked yet, but i'll be working on that.
As i have selected a Micro ATX cabinet, i needed a Micro ATX motherboard, and Gigabyte GA-Z170MX Gaming 5 was a good option both price wise and functions wise. It supports M2 SSD, DDR4, overclocking and SLI.
I got a good deals on 500GB M.2 drive (Samsung 850 Evo) and Corsair Vengeance LPX (2x8GB, DDR4-2666). This M.2 hard disk is really fast and I'm really impressed by how such a small and tiny device can hold 500GB of data.
For PSU, as i plan to overclock and SLI in future, I got 850W supply. It's fully modular and Silver certified. I'm not a fan of water cooling and went for the classic option of Cooler Master Hyper 212x. It has been running fine till now, with no overheating and no noise at all.
My wife gifted me a MSI Geforce GTX 1070 Gaming X 8G OC on my birthday, so i'm all set and loving it.
I'm using this build with my existing UHD TV, so didn't get a monitor. I play with Xbox One controller, and when i do need a desk, mouse and keyboard, I use Steam streaming. As a plex media server, the system has been running great with subtitles transcoding.
It's really silent.
A lot of features in this small factor MOBO.
I got red colored ones, and they really look good.
really impressed with it's speed and it's tiny form factor.
Good looking, small factor and still spacious. Only problem is ports and power button on the side.
