Description

My aim was £650 budget ended up spending £695, meduim range gaming PC, i think ive succeded. I can play majority of games at max if not tweaked down a tad at 60fps. Even played Metro last light at Max (without advanced physx) at 40+fps. Next on my list of improvements is a decent monitor because my 32" tv only runs at 1360*768. My only problems are that my motherboard doesnt have a connector for my front panel usb 3 port and also that windows 8 does not like working (even with compatibility mode) with some oldish games, although anoying i can live with it.

Decent monitor? mmh that one of yours looks awesome.. but isn't the gtx 760 quite good?, how does it handle demanding games? I am pretty sure the 5.1 would be a nice touch, what about a subwoofer behind your chair?:D

yeah my tv only runs at a native reolution of 1360*768 which on a 32 inch monitor is straining and ugly to look at, the GTX 760 is good and it handles anything from 2013 on max and new games e.g. metro last light and battlefield 4 on max ( with no phsyx ) at 40fps

And what monitor do you have in mind? 40 fps on that resolution... is that smoothly? playable?

40 fps is play able but with this reolution streched across 32 inches, whislt im sitting only 3ft away isnt very nice, playable but not very enjoyable, so i just crank the settings down from max to high, i never have to go below medium for a game, The monitor im aiming at is the BenQ GW2450HM LED Monitor, 19201080 4ms response times and 24" for £130 is very good, also a side note, games like GTA IV and Borderlands 2 run a HELL of a lot better when i force it to run at 19201080, i belive there are some downscaleing issues with some games especailly with a fairly low and uncommon reloution
