Description

This was my first PC build. Went with the Ryzen 1600, 8GB of DDR4-2666 Ram, GTX 1060 3GB on a MSI B350 Mate mobo.... All the 6's in the parts dubs it the Ryzen 666.

I took advantage of a Google Express 20% off first time buyers promo and ebay had a 15% off deal where I bought all of the parts new and tax-free. Pretty happy with being frugal and the performance it provides.

Was this memory compatible with that motherboard out of the box? I am thinking of getting the same kit for my mother board but the qvc list doesn't have that memory on it. Build looks good!

Sorry, didn't realize I was getting messages on my first build. I had to go into the mobo bios and tweak the memory. It was super easy though.

I would go with 16 GB of ram for gaming and more things along the way. Im a editor and sometimes I can have many windows and programs open at a time. And I would go with a 120GB SSD because they are cheaper and I don't wanna spend $90 on storage. I like the 500W ATX power supply because now you saved room for maybe a 1080 Ti and maybe some more ram. Solid beginner's build. Also for gaming this machine can basically run any game just like a 1080 Ti but without the extra 100 FPS....
Good Luck! lol :)

I will be upgrading my ram eventually. I was trying to be as frugal as possible.
