"Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads."

I LOVE Back to the Future, so when I came across a great deal for the vaulted Back to the Future Pop's! I knew that I had to use them in a PC build. The prices included are the prices that I payed for the parts. Everything is new, apart from the graphics card. I had to RMA my last one, but there wasn't stock to replace it!

Build has x6 RGB fans with a fan controller. These are off brand ones that I paid £36 for, and I have been amazed at how cool they keep my case! I plan on getting sleeved cable extensions in the future to make it look a bit cleaner. CPU cooler is also second hand. I managed to pick it up for £9.99, and it works great as my CPU is locked! It was purely for aesthetic reasons.

PC is an absolute beast and has handled all games I have played at Very High/Ultra settings. Currently I use a 144hz 1080p monitor (Samsung C24FG70) but I am looking to upgrade in the future to a 1440p 144hz monitor.

If you are thinking about upgrades, I would get an unlocked CPU to take advantage of your amazing motherboard :D

What are the fans? So they gave u a 1080 because they didnt have what model?

gingepeedle submitter 2 Builds 0 points 4 days ago

No, I had a MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X from eBuyer and I had to return, they didn't have the stock to give me a new one so refunded. I then bought a second hand Strix 1080 for £375.

Fans are: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07B3Z4992/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They are even cheaper at the minute too! I payed £36, for £24, it is an absolute steal!

Awesome Build! Does the i5-8400 bottleneck the gpu at all? How do/did you hyper-thread the cpu? Intel Multi-Core Enhancement? BUt, anyways this build is super clean, and I like it. +1

Does it play Commodore 64 and Apple II games as well since it'd fit with the movies release years? :)

Nice clean build. +1

For your next build you could maybe theme it around Rick and Morty since the characters were partly inspired by Back to the Future.

Your mouse looks like the Tesla logo. I like your computer.

Just so you guys know he's selling this system on a facebook group, and for quite a bit of money. How are you gonna ask for 1,250 when it's not worth that much?

gingepeedle submitter 2 Builds 1 point 4 days ago

I haven't listed all of the things included in the build, plus, you always start too high. I don't expect to get 1,250 for it, but if I started with the amount that I wanted, people would always expect lower. If you don't feel that it is worth that amount, then keep on scrolling. No need to bash the asking price.

nice build but did u know that the gpu and the cpu have to work with each other so u cant put a bad cpu to a good gpu as it cannot render in the data coming from the gpu

gingepeedle submitter 2 Builds 0 points 3 days ago

The Core i5-8400 is nowhere near a bad GPU? It ranks higher than Ryzen 2600 on CPUUserbenchmark. It is a 6 core and 6 thread CPU, and has no problem handling the GPU. I get no bottleneck? A lot of people don't realise that it is a beast of a CPU.
