Description
This pc is primarily for gaming and audio production.
Planned to add another HDD and a external sound card next month.
Really EASY to build in the air 540, it's huge and super spacious. There's no where you can't reach, really.
Everything works perfectly except for the cpu, I was told that it's this "silicon lottery" thing that I got.
I ran my 6600k @ 4.3Ghz with 1.35V and it still crashes while running stress within the 10 minutes mark. Really disappointing but the temperature only peaks out at 60 degrees C max while stress testing with the Hyper 212X.
As of right now, I'm only able to run it stable @ 4.2Ghz with 1.275V.
Ram did really well, with enough enough I was able to run it at 3000Mhz.
Edit, manage to run my 960 at 1.51Ghz with my vram at 4.1. Temps peaking at 65 during test in Heaven 4.0.
This GPU can OC like a boss, no doubt.
Part Reviews
CPU
Run really well in games and application I use.
However, with intel aiming the "K" series skylake cpu for overclockers I must say I am very disappointed. I'm only able to OC the cpu to a maximum of 4.2Ghz and I even need to give it 1.275V for it to become stable.
CPU Cooler
Great for the price! My 6600k peaks at 60 C Max at 4.2Ghz during stress test
Motherboard
Great aesthetic, fit in my build really well. Didn't have any problem. Great bios as well!
Memory
No problem at all, with the new z170 platform I'm able to OC it to 3000Mhz
Storage
Really FAST SSD. Reboot only took 26 Seconds
Video Card
Fantastic card, Looks badass and perform the same.
Case
HUGE case. Very spacious so you wouldn't have any problem building it, no headaches for cable management as well.
Power Supply
Very nice, connectors light up when powered up, makes looking for cable easy but I doubt anyone would mess around with the cables while it's still running though. Needless to say, give a big plus to the aesthetic. Run really well with my overclocking
