Shaggy built this PC on 02/05/2018.

I guided the builder on this machine and was amazed how easy he had it for his first complete build. The goal was to upgrade from his FM2+ platform to the new AM4 platform to be able to create video content for youtube as well as live stream gameplay to twitch. I'm sure the goal will be much accomplished as time goes on.

Software installation was rather difficult remotely after the builder went to sleep; however, it didn't pose a huge problem. The 8C/16T 1700 was VERY quick (even at stock speeds). It was simple to guide the builder into the BIOS and click the XMP profile 2 to get the memory speed up to 3000. The system was stable even with no intake fans and the side panel off (yes, I recommended some intake fans and they will be coming in the coming days).

Aesthetically, the build is beautiful sporting RGB LEDs on the top, front, and inside (motherboard and CPU cooler). The case gives a "striking" resemblance to a storm trooper and the Asus GTX 1060 6GB in white was a perfect match to the case. Cable management was rather simple as the cut-outs in the case were right where we needed them to be (including the 8-pin CPU power cable at the top).

All in all, it's a great build that will last a long time. With the customization options, changes can be made to the look to allow a new "feel." Great job, Shaggy!

Very nice build! My favourite part is the RGB-Case: it kinda looks like a spaceship :D

Never. But where he lives is cold and the computer is in a basement (heat rises) so it hasn't overheated yet. But I don't recommend running anything without AT THE VERY LEAST one intake and one exhaust. Otherwise, you degrade the longevity of your components.
