This is my first PC build and I am very pleased with it. This is a machine that I will usually use for gaming but will be used for work and YouTube too. As I am a windows boy I opted for Windows 10 Home edition(64 -bit) as it was what I was using before and is a great OS in my opinion.
The main part of this build was the Video card. The Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB is a great graphics card for how I use it. The price seemed a bit steep but after benchmarking and testing on all my powerful games (BlackOps 3 and Tomb Raider) I am fully pleased with the purchase. The three cooling fans on it run it at a very cool temperature while, to my surprise, staying very quiet.
My CPU purchase made me nervous but after the steady overclock, I can understand the price. Overclocking from 3.5GHz all the way to 4.1GHz. This, while note being necessary, did give a huge leap in performance and put me in the top 98% of all PC's tested on Firestrike.
The only part of the system that I regretted buying was the case. This was NOT because of the look of it but just how difficult it was to cable manage. Another problem with the case is that the Video card and the Networking cards were a real hassle to get in. This was due to the fact that the case has on overhang on the inside which required me to bend the bottom of the Networking Card to get in. However. After the build was complete, The case still looks cool and the cable management did not leave a bulge.
All in all, if I were to improve this build in the future, I would defiantly invest in a better case.
I would like to thank Khaosix for helping me and answering all of my questions throughout this build.
A well priced CPU that runs cool and works well. This thing nails the overclocking as I managed to boost up the clock speed easily 4.1ghz easily. I even think that I can push it even more!
An easy to install, cheap, great looking water cooler that works insanely well was a huge surprise to me. Definitely one of the favourite parts of my build.
Transfers heat well but when I first used, it almost exploded out of the end. I would recommend using a piece of paper to test on.
A great budget board. I personally use it for gaming and it fits all of my parts perfectly.
Great Ram that looks cool and runs well. It may say that it is black and yellow but it still looked great in my design (At least I think it does).
Great SSD. Loads windows almost instantly. Definitely would recommend.
A very cheap hard drive that is also very good. A rare and surprising purchase.
An utter beast of a graphics card. It runs almost silently (despite the 3 fans) and looks awesome. Definitely worth the price.
Great looking case but cable management is lacking and the PCI spaces are very difficult to use. All in all though, A good case.
Perfect for computers that need to be upgraded over time as it has great efficiency and is very powerful.
I tested it and thought that it made my cable management look really bad so I took it out. It worked well though.
Wireless Network Adapter
Great for the price I paid for it. Connects well but is only a temporary measure until I get an Ethernet cable wired up in my room.
Good fans that cool well. They work well with my system as I use headphones all the time but for those who want silent performance, don't go with these.
It's a generic Keyboard... It doesn't do much but it does the job.
