This build will be used primarily for 1080p gaming, on a single monitor. Aesthetics were quite important, with a black and white theme on the agenda.
Perfect for the gaming requirements. It will be running with a light overclock initially, as the current clock speeds will be more than enough. Future overclocks will be higher, as and when required.
Bought specifically for aesthetic reasons, but it's packed with features - especially for the low price.
Quality RAM – mainly bought for the aesthetics, but is a solid choice regardless. No additional setup required, either.
The cheapest available ~120GB SSD, at the time of purchase. Solid read/write speeds. This will be housing the OS, along with a couple of frequently used games. The 1TB HDD will be used for any additional games/images.
This card was a steal, at £130. About the same price as a GTX 660/270X, for those of you not in the UK. It'll handle any games at 1080p, and so is fine for their needs.
A solid case, with few negatives. Not a fan of the [almost] entirely white version, and so I chose to modify one of the black/orange versions. Very simple job to do.
Purchased for the pre-braided cabling, though I ended up using white extensions instead. Kind of negated the need for the cabling, but still makes cable management a rather easy task.
Fairly cheap fans with a simple look. They provide decent airflow, even at low RPMs, and are very quiet.
A great OS.
