Lots of planning but pretty happy with the result!
What is the 2080 like? Frames? Sexy build otherwise.
Same thing as the 1080 Ti, except it's on GDDR6 and has 3 less gigs of VRAM
Sounds about right. :)
Oh, and this mysterious thing called “ray tracing” that hasn’t seen the light of day yet
probably never will and if it does it'll be similar to hairworks and tank your frames
Apparently Microsoft mentioned something about enabling it during the Windows update that just started to roll out. Still skeptical though
Look at a 1080 TI benchmark, then add 3-5 FPS, and subtract $211 from the 1080 TI's pricetag; and you have yourself the RTX 2080.
About 10-15 FPS more on 4K ultra settings than the 1080 Ti. The price hike is crazy but the ray tracing technology might make it worth it. I don’t support the insane price hike though.
That rig looks like I can hear what you're listening to, lol.
This is really cool and clean! I love builds like this, and I especially like the vertical gpu mount. +1
Good build +1 I’m going to build all most the exact gaming setup.
The 2080 runs fine for what I need, was due for an upgrade while I was allowed, so I went for the latter rather than the former.
How are the temps on your gpu?
What config are you using for the kraken? I want to use the same fan config as you but can't wrap my head around the logistics of it lmao.
After five or so months, is there anything you wish you would've changed? Looking to build something with almost the same parts.
How do u mounted the GPU? Thought there is no way to mount it vertical in this case
you used the pump_aio header from the motherboard?
what’s your positive’s and negatives you’ve experience from that?
Where did you get those rgb strips from?
Great work ! :)
How did you wrap x72 with white sleeves (did you unmount original tubes and then or somehow wrap around without dismounting)?
Hi, how did u manage the rgb ? are u able to manage the ram with nzxt cam or all with asus aura or with cam + idk what's the software for night hawk rgb ? btw beautiful setup, nice work !
Literally the exact build I'm planning, lol. Just need that money (:
Pretty neat build, I have a H700i laying around that I might use, so I'm glad to see builds that use it.
Great looking build man, very clean and plenty of RGB bling.
However 32GB of RAM and the 2080 are overkill for gaming at 1440p in my opinion, 16GB of RAM and a GTX 1080 would have been sufficient for your needs and would have saved you a few hundred dollars. But that is just my line of thinking, different strokes for different folks. Either way very nice machine that should last for 5+ years before an upgrade would be necessary.
Apologies fixed that, only has 16GB of RAM. Thanks for noticing.
why didnt he get a 1080ti its cheaper
Ray Tracing abilities for when games come out with them.
it's a neon party in there, looks great!!
Looks a lot like the Retrovision build that came out a few days ago, still good looking. +1
Yo how did you get the vertical seated back so far? What did you use? Amazing looking build.
Cable Mod vertical GPU mount, allows plenty of airflow, at the cost of 1-2 degrees C.
Nice build, lovely rgb
Is that a Push/Pull setup?
Yeah it's is
Hey i was wondering if the CableMod Vertical PCI-e Bracket affects performance or airflow? Great builds looks amazing
I did a little bit of testing prior, currently with the push/pull intake there is basically no disturbance in airflow or on going temps. Great bracket, as card is still a good 10cm from the glass.
do you have a job or something to afford this
Yes, I do... and still all my body parts, lol
Chill out man.
what did he say? lol
yeah, i'm curious too lol
