This was my first custom loop build and my first upgrade in a few years. I watched the release of the 9900K and 2080Ti's last year and decided it was time for the upgrade but not just any upgrade, the most ridiculous overpowered gaming rig I could conjure up, here it is! The only regret I have right now is not going with the MSI Meg Godlike Z390 but that will be an upgrade in the future when needed, for now the board I have does all the OC'ing I could want.

I welcome any feedback, positive or negative (and yes, I know about the one pipe that's not at a proper 90 degrees and it kills my OCD).

This is going to get featured tomorrow isn't it? =D I like how you have green and blue coolant, and how one side is illuminated by the light in the room, and the other is a blue glow.

Thanks! The left side is actually illuminated by the green/yellow LED strip and the board LED has been colored a similar green to match the liquid.

Agreed, I believe it's just because the GPU's block the green light from going further over inside the case.

More pictures please! I love this build, color choices, and the super tower. I'm looking to do a dual loop as well in this case sometime. I'm curious on your choice of radiator selections. What made you pick a 360 & 480 instead of dual 480s or 560s this case can support. Just wondering.

I did the thicker 360 instead of another 480 because through reading and watching reviews, it seemed a 480 may be overkill for just the CPU loop. The only reason I didn't do 2x 60mm thick RADs is because of availability of EK's products at the time of ordering.

Not a good reason to be honest - just didn't know enough about blocks at the time I ordered it. I'll likely go that route when I upgrade the mobo to the MSI Godlike.

Have you ran into any issues using all 3 m.2 slots? Which m.2 slot are you using for your boot drive? I am getting the Aorus Master and also plan on using all 3 m.2 slots in my build. I have been reading varying comments about the impact to performance when using all 3 m.2 slots so I would definitely appreciate hearing how it has worked out for you.

Sorry for the delay, no I haven't had any issues with my M.2 slots at all. Honestly I forget which one I'm using because I had an issue trying to get the Intel Optane to work and was switching my boot drives so many times, I lost track of which I'm using and haven't looked into the BIOS in a while.

How is the 2080ti SLI setup working for you? I have one, and wanting another, but I don't know if it is worth the cost? I always run SLI, but these cards are getting expensive. Do you see better performance? How about stuttering or any other issues?

I've not had any issues with them but honestly it wasn't a very fruitful investment if I had to reflect back on it. There's only 1 game (Rainbow Six Siege) which actually utilizes the SLI capabilities otherwise having a second card doesn't get a lot of use right now. I did it to future proof myself because I knew I'd want them but if I could go back in time, I'd redo it with just one and wait for prices to come down.

Nice build overall! I don't know if I'm sold on the Meg Godlike, what do you think so far? Also, I see lots of newer cases going towards accomodation for SSD's only. What is your application for all these SSD's? I only ask because they usually don't last as long and don't handle lots of recurring writable data... at least that's been my experience with them...

Thanks! I didn't go with the Godlike because a buddy of mine did an almost identical build and he tried that board and had all kinds of issues so I decided to stay away. The Gigabyte Aurous has treated me very well thus far and given the money I saved, I'm very happy. I went with all the SSDs because I am very impatient and wanted to be able to load up and save games quickly, I hate freezing when auto-save is running on very large games. I typically install newer games on the SSDs then once I get tired of them, I'll move them to the HDD's to free up space. I also put 2 in RAID for my OS and base programs. I've been running multiple SSD rigs for about 6-7 years now and I've only had one go bad on me, a cheap SanDisk that crapped out on me about 2 years after I got it but they honored their warranty and took care of it for me. Other than that, no issues.

Definitely not overkill - once you get over 100 games, you begin to realize that 2TB of SSD (in my current rig) isn't sufficient anymore and considering many of today's games can be up to 100GB for a single game. It's called future proofing :)

Does the i9 9900k nvlinks well with 2 gpus since it only has 16pcei lanes compare to 32 or 44?

I wanted something with massive storage capabilities which wasn't crazy expensive for pictures, videos and such.
