I originally imagined this updated build with simply replacing the CPU with a Zen2 chip, x570 chipset motherboard, and some new RAM to squeeze out the efficiency of whatever processor I chose. I was coming from a 1700x running on a MSI b450m Mortar. Well, my lack of impulse control took over, and one thing led to another... and I'm sitting here today with a completely new build aside from my m.2, hybrid storage hard drive, (system deactivated) wi-fi card, and my 1080ti.
I've always been infatuated with building an extremely powerful mATX build. Unfortunately, the ONLY mATX x570 chipset board has been identified to have poor VRM cooling. However, I'm not expecting to push the 3900x too much with OC'ing, and I feel that I have a push-pull fan set up inside the case. I currently have the 3900x running stable at 4.15 gHz (@1.2v) on all cores, with the RAM at 16-19-19-19-39 via stock XMP profile.
My previous case was the TT Core V21, which was aesthetically lacking, but functionally great for my previous build. But man... was it love-at-first-sight when I saw this case. My concerns about the airflow/thermals in the TT Level 20 VT were (hopefully) abated by using AIO-cooled CPU and GPU. The tempered glass and (excessive) addressable RGB really liken this system to be a piece of art on top of my desk. The case itself is amazing to work with, and as you can tell by one of the photos, really isn't that hard to aesthetically manage the cables in this case.
This was my first time implementing addressable RGB into a build. It was fairly easy to do. The ASRock Polychrome software leaves some to be desired. Due to the number of total aRGB headers on the mobo, I had to purchase a CoolerMaster 3-to-1 aRGB splitter cable. I originally had a TT 200mm aRGB Fan that was NOT playing nicely with this cable, so I ended up switching to the upHere 200mm aRGB Halo and it was plug-and-play. I'm really surprised at how much I like the rainbow effect synchronized across all of the components.
Overall, I know this case is overkill for what I use it for. My main use for my desktop PC is for gaming with high-frame performance and high-graphic fidelity at 1440p, which I think is the current sweet spot for PC gaming.
Future plans for this build will likely involve:
NVIDIA Ampere-series Ti-edition (hybrid/AIO)
Peeling off the sticker on the side of the Deepcool AIO tower
Certainly overkill for my purposes, but I wanted a processor that would last me several years. I have a steady OC frequency at right under 4.2Ghz across all cores. This thing absolutely shreds anything and everything that I throw at it. The performance per dollar here is undeniably ahead of anything Intel has to offer.
In my opinion, this is the most beautiful AIO available on the market. Installation was effortless. There were no issues syncing with my addressable RGB controls on my ASRock motherboard. Under a full load test using OCCT, my temperatures did not go above 65'C after 4 minutes of testing. The fan/motor are also not very audible in my current setup.
Yeah.. yeah... I know... the VRMs on this board leave much to be desired. I've explored the option of removing the stock VRM heatsink, and manually adding some copper heat sinks to the VRM's but so far I'm haven't encountered any issues. Installation was a breeze with the written instructions. I would say that this is the best Micro-ATX x570 board available... but it's the only mATX x570 board available... In my experience, setup and BIOS tweaks are simple, and I was able to achieve advertised speeds on my non-QVL DDR4-3600c16 RAM and boosted my CPU to just under 4.2GHz with ZERO issues.
Was non-QVL with my ASRock x570m Pro4 motherboard. I was able to easily achieve the advertised RAM frequencies with the default XMP settings. This RAM is the secret sauce for getting the most out of my 3900x. And I didn't see myself ever saying this... but the aRGB is 100% worth the extra cheddar.
Dollar for dollar... I'm not sure if there's a better option for a Gen3 NVME out there... Last I checked this 1TB drive was less than $130 on Amazon. Works at advertised speeds and hasn't given me a single error since installation. Don't sleep on this great piece of hardware.
Still (relatively) competitive with some of the RTX cards (as of Fall 2019). I game at 1440p and never really dip below 100fps on any AAA game at a mix of +high/ultra settings. I've never felt the need to OC the card, and the built in AIO keeps my temperatures in check during game sessions.
A single star removed for a slight deficiency in thermal efficiency due to the complete enclosure with tempered glass. I'm not sure how this could be rectified with a design change that doesn't alter the aesthetic of the case.
However, this is without a doubt a breathtaking mATX case. Installation was an absolute blast. The ability to install the motherboard vertically or horizontally is amazing. The hardware struts in the case for mounting fans & radiators are simple yet intuitive.
I've seen several reviews deduct overall 'points' for cable management, but you can see from the pictures I've supplied in my build that cable management is not a problem with a little creativity (and zip-ties).
Great looking fans. Helps my system maintain reasonable temperatures in a thermally-challenged case. The aRGB controller was simple to use, setup and sync with my ASRock motherboard. Really beautiful components, and have performed above my expectations.

This worked better than a Thermaltake aRGB fan that was over 200% of the cost of this fan. The TT fan completely broken the aRGB chain I had managed in my case, rendering a random assortment of aRGB components useless. Upon the installation of this fan, all of my aesthetic issues went away and I was able to bask in the glory of completely excessive RGB lighting.
This fan seems to perform well pulling air into the case behind a completely obstructive piece of tempered glass. My overall system temperatures are pretty good, and I believe that most of that credit should be given to this large front-case fan.
