I proudly present my first PC build.
As an easily recognizable Iron Man fan, I built my first PC myself under the title "Stark Industries". As perpetual console player and notebook user, I actually had no idea about it at all. Two years ago, I bought the first stand PC, a Lenovo. This was not enough flexibility for me soon.
By meticulously gathering information, compatibility of the various components, RGB (oh yes, the RGB compatibility options drove me crazy, more on that later) and relative performance I have it, also thanks to your channel, actually made me my first PC assemble. Since my desk is in the living room, it had to make a visual impression as well, but it would be rather small. On overclocking possibility I deliberately renounced from the beginning.
In the NZXT H200i case in which I installed an Asus Rog Strix H370i sits an Intel Core i7 8700 which is cooled by the NZXT Kraken M22. For the time being, I took the graphics card out of my old PC and provided it with a backplate from the Portuguese company ColdZero. It's an Nvidia GTX 1070 in the Founders Edition built by MSI for Lenovo. The RAM is a 16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4-2666 kit. Memory wise, I had only a pure SSD monster in mind. However, due to a very good offer, I then added a Barracuda 2.5 inch HDD with 2TB to the 240GB Corsair MP510 M.2 SSD and the two 500GB Samsung EVO 860 SSDs. The Airflow is provided by two Corsair LL120 fans and a NZXT Aer F120 which is installed where I do not want any lighting due to the cables. The icing on the cake was the Black / Red CableMod PRO ModMesh Cable Extension Kit.
Little things that are also still installed, are an internal USB hub from NZXT, an XBOX wireless adapter, another LED Stripe from NZXT that complements the preinstalled in the "i" version strips, the NZXT puck to properly locate my headset and the " Stark Industries "sticker on the side window.
Before I realized the RGB insanity, I had already bought an RGB extension kit from NZXT that was compatible with the Cue +. Thus, it also happened that I now have to use 3 programs to be able to control all RGB components correctly. Think I'll change that in the future but right now I'm satisfied as it is. Also changed is the video card, what exactly it is I do not know yet. I would aim for a RTX 2070 in a custom cooling design.
As a monitor, I have decided on the price performance for the Viewsonic XG2730 with 2560 x 1440 pixels and 144Hz refresh rate, decided. Youtube video sound comes from the 2.1, Z333 sound system from Logitech. I also play with an XBOX One controller, the mouse G403 with the cable held by the Zowie Mousebungee, keyboard G910 and the headset G933 from Logitech.
Update: Now a Gigabyte RTX 2070 Gaming OC is already installed. I also added a new Elgato Strem Deck Mini to my setup. Follow pictures.
