Description

I started this build last year. I have been through a lot of trials and errors with this build... Mainly air flow and radiator mounting points. I did research then built the desktop and then did more research and re-arranged everything. I also did not like a few things inside so I changed it around a lot. At first I had a deepcool dukase v2 case that I did not like at all. It had no dust filter on top and had very poor airflow. After getting a newer and bigger case, I front mounted my radiator and made it push-pull. This changed my temps drastically. I also made 3 exhaust fans towards the back and they look cool as well. I have fan controllers in this build as well as the NZXT hue which I love. I can't seem to make up my mind on how I want my color scheme to be but I feel like the blue and white flow together with the white components.

Also, the pics can be confusing but for the record, I finished my build with the black cable combs lol. They sort of make everything finally flow together.

The 3 exhaust fans have their own controller which is screwed in right below my wireless network adapter. I found them on amazon for like $40 and they work really well. I only got them for the way their lights look lol and yes you can change them to whatever color you want.

This is my FIRST build and I love everything about it now. I came from a POS lenovo laptop that took 10 minutes to startup. Now I am on this thing and it takes 10 seconds to startup haha. I am always on this thing. I mainly game and I know a lot of you are gonna say oh some of it is overkill but its fine with me. I wanted something that will last for a really long time and something that looks clean. I am proud of myself!!! All of the components have worked really well together. Zero complaints. My ONLY concern is the PSU and graphics card but that isn't until I decide to up my card in the future. For now it gives me plenty of fps with good temps on all high settings in my games.

Thanks for checking it out!

looks good. it's a nice case I have the same one just not the glass :/ When you say it changed your temps drastically doing push / pull... what're we talking?

Osengj0901 submitter 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

I front mounted my radiator and put fans on both sides of it so that one side can push air through it and the other side will pull air through it. Look it up, you will see what I mean.

i know what it is.. im sayin how drastic did it change

Osengj0901 submitter 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

My GPU temps would reach up to 75C Now they peak at 61

My CPU would go up to the 70s as well Now it stays within 45-51C on a full load.

You've got some balls kid, using one of those Captain EX AIO fluid squirters, read in one trade mag they have a 40% failure rate, on Amazon nearly all reviews about this model are complaints about pump failure and leakages, several fried builds on show with pics. (note - on Amazon they merged reviews of the Captain EX series with 'Maelstrom' series to mask the issue, so look carefully and focus on the one star write ups). Still you have a 60% chance that it won't leak so why worry, it's just like playing Russian roulette with only 2 rounds in the cylinder haha.

+1 for risking it all in the name of looking good.

Wow. I had absolutely no idea and now that I think about it, I realize that I did not really look into the reviews on that cooler. I guess I got lucky? I really wish NZXT would make a nice full white liquid cooler with the customizable RGB pump. I would buy that thing in a heartbeat. Thanks for the +1!

Had this cooler for 2 months with no issues, dude. Keep in mind people are more likely to leave a review on something if they have a bad experience with it. Let's say 100 people bought this cooler and out of that 100 only 50 left reviews. But of that 50, 10 are bad ones. That 10 out of 50 is going to look bad unless you know that more than 50 people bought the product.

Nice build regardless.

So far so good. No issues. Thanks man, Gonna check out your builds and will return the +1 to those

In all seriousness you should be fine, it looks great, just keep an eye on it, monitor CPU temps regularly and if it starts making funny noises get it out of there.

We have the same CPU/MOBO/RAM/GPU combo, nice choice! Beautiful build. +1

I took a look at your build and it is awesome. I wanted to do a full out white everything but I have a kid running around the house and I was afraid to come home and find cheeto hand prints or paint marks all over my desktop. I love my tuxedo build but man that full white is soooo nice. I gave you an upvote :D

Thank you

What kind of fans do you have up top and in back?

Osengj0901 submitter 1 Build 2 points 2 months ago

Hey bud, I just saw this comment and sorry about the late reply, I don't know how I missed it.... Go on amazon and look up Jonsbo 120mm pc fan. They should pop up for you!

mckay0318 1 point 2 months ago

Thanks for the reply! Also, how are they holding up? By that I mean are they pretty quiet? I'm only skeptical because they are cheaper than most case fans.

Osengj0901 submitter 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

So they only have an on/low/high option for the fan speed. I keep mine on high and it doesnt really bother me at all. They are pretty quiet. I just wish I could adjust the speed on them in my bios and not by pressing the button that comes with them.
