Description

My first PC build! Wanted to find a sweet spot PC for 1080p gaming and 4K media HTPC. I choose GTX 970 just to make the PC VR ready and HDMI 2.0 output. Everything looks good. Had no issues building . Although the case I choose is too small for any kind of cable management.

Nice to see more 380t builds! Love that case ;). I am currently building a PC in the white edition of that case. Since I wanted absolute color coordination, I had to go with a black mobo (z170 stinger). I also choose to upgrade to a 200mm backlit fan (actually the same model, just in white) Mainly to help with positive air pressure, as my house is very dusty. I am wondering why you didn't pick up an h100i gtx or equivalent, though. This case is super optimized for water coolers.

I would recommend getting rid of that blue LED fan in the front. In my opinion, it takes away the bumblebee look to it. I would replace it with a black fan with no LED.

The Blue really makes the color POP to me, I love this PC very nice indeed! How are games in higher settings?

Still testing Tom clancy's division, DOTA 2 and NFS rivals. Will update soon.

DOTA 2 and NFS look good. Did not really check for FPS but the games look smooth to me on high settings. DOTA 2 is perfect on 4k , not so perfect in NFS rivals and Division is good on 1080p/1440p (Actually division on 4k is too much for gtx 970).

Please check out my build and tell me what you think it's based off of yours with a couple of changes not much though. I loved your build. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Ratzleri/saved/L4yj4D

Looks good. Just keep in mind that with the default cables that come with the PSU it hard to route them with the hard drive caddy in place :)

This case attracted me for my first build too. I just started building my 380t - also with the Asus z170i. Did you have a molex or SATA for powering your 3-speed fan connector? The corsair build log showed that I should have a molex. I didn't see it.

Do you by chance have the minimum lengths for the PSU cables? I'm getting custom cables for this case and was just wondering... Thanks and great build!

Did you notice any issue when putting the H7's backplate on the back of the mobo? I'm having a clearance issue/incompatibility. http://imgur.com/a/MudHK
