Just waiting on ram coming in the morning, update then...

Alright while we wait a few more hours for the ram I guess I'll go over this beast. When I started out, I was going to go ASUS on the motherboard and matrix 980ti card. But after looking at overclocking and over all performance, EVGA tops the charts. Not so much in the motherboard, but figured if I had to call people about things not working, rather call one mofo than 5. Another reason went with EVGA, is my current running setup...a LGA-775 intel d975xbx2 with e6700 processor and 4gb ram (I'd make a complete build list for it but the motherboard isn't listed). Buddy sold me this with a EVGA 9800 gt card it in, wasn't bad. And then I added the EVGA 750Ti SC card and love it. Obviously not a beast, but Skyrim in Ultra @ 1080p seemed good enough. Anyway EVGA hasn't let me down.

So after 2 months of deciding this is the setup. Loving the case. NZXT is amazing. The drive bays are really nice and solid. The triple 120mm fans in front run quiet. Oh I did switch the door with other case. Yes I even put my 775 in a h440 with red tho. Red/black case comes with clear window, black case has a tinted window...which one would you want to be showing off lol. Everything is easy to work with. NZXT's X61 cooler has paste on heatsink making that a walk in the park. Wiring everything is where I ran into a 4 leaf clover I swear. So wanted the NZXT Hue+ but didn't order right a way, but a day later was like f it might as well just get it all done and be completely happy and have nothing to be cussing about later. And order NZXT's usb extension. EVGA's Classified K mobo only has 1 usb 2.0 and 1 usb 3.0 which the case alone would have taken both if it wasn't for the extension. Lucky me cause x61 needed one too. Had a mini heart attack until I found out I was in the clear. Which I think everyone, needed or not, should add the usb extension...also gives you 2 usb ports to plug in flash drives and has double sided 4 pin power so doesn't just use up a plug. Hmm, I guess another issue I have with mobo is that it doesn't clean up as nicely as I wanted. Ports vs plug size vs wire holes on case type of issue but I think I got everything tucked away ok. What else lets see....oh got the ssd choice from building on newegg, waiting to see how it fairs vs my 120gb patriot ssd with a 256mb cache. If it ends up slower I just throw in the 120gb in as well to run Windows and use 512 for everything else. And if you really care about the mouse...which yes EVGA lol...is pretty bomb. Has higher arch then most I guess I read somewhere. Idk, I like it. The Razer Tartarus I have is actually the chroma edt. Pretty cool little keypad, first timer with that so still getting use to it. Well that and first time waking up to the fact PC graphics with forever out weigh console. Was a xbox360 gamer for the past 7 years. Alright all I got for now, FedEx needs to hurry up lol.

Well I am writing to you from setup! FedEx guy even popped in to take a look lol, after all he's been hearing about every part as he brought them lol. Still getting Elder Scrolls downloaded. Ran Skyrim...BEAUTIFUL! Runescape as well with new client looked really good loading effortlessly. One thing I wasn't planning on was nothing really works when you first boot...and if you don't have cd drive can't really put the motherboad driver anywhere. LAN doesn't work either so no just quick connecting and downloading. Thankfully I am a nerd and laptop ready lol. Drivers to usb to desktop worked just fine. Oh and ended up switching doors back to the tinted one. LEDs are brighter than I thought and looks cleaner darkening everything else.

New desktop is running great. CPU @ 24 c; GPU @ 32 c. Haven't overclocked yet, will keep updating till I tweak it all to perfection lol.

As you can see now, NZXT's Hue+ is finally installed. Top and Front vents are CPU temp. Inner circle leds from hue+ is a chasing rainbow right now, I keep playing with the different settings. Heatsink now changes from green to red in 10 steps. Top and Side of the Kingpin card is now fading rainbow, while the bottom logos are card temp. See so wasn't all for just show...lol

Gotta say I'm proud of this setup its running great. Games looks amazing. Playing Skyrim, Elder Scrolls Online, Need for Speed, and Runescape so far.

Enjoy the wait for the RAM. I could not stand to have an amazing computer just sitting there and not be able to use it.

Had the case and cooler since Friday, installed in 10mins...then motherboard and 95% of parts all came Monday...lets just say I'm glad I work 36 hours over the weekend to keep me busy lol. And the whole time Micro Center (the only place to get EVGA ram) sent me the order comfirm email, but didn't send a shipping one. Was nice to find out they shipped right a way...from cali...when there is a store in Chicago. Next time I'm just taking the trip to Chicago.

Lol yep took all but bottom drive caddy out to max air flow so it's all open for the triple 120mm fans in front running as intake.
