What parts are you getting? Because a GTX 980 Ti is super overkill for 1080p. The monitor I have is less expensive than what I paid for it now, and it's a 1440p monitor. I would recommend it unless you already have the one you sent me.

Yea i want the 144hz refresh rate but would rather stay around the 250-300 price range, and 1440p 144hz monitors come at a high price (alot more than 250-300).

Yeah, that's because they're not as common as 1080p monitors. If you're going to have a 1080p 144Hz monitor, a GTX 980 Ti is a bit overkill, but it's warranted. I'd say go for it if you can swing it.
