Cooe you are on point, I personally feel the same way. Even on my most budget, I would never recommend not getting a SSD.

With the prices of budget SATA SSD's these days (esp buying used or refurbished), and the absolutely unprecedented $/performance ratio SSD's offer, there's just no excuse IMO. Even if it's just a tiny 120GB boot drive for the OS and essentials.
