GTX 970 or AMD R9 390

With the upcoming R9 380X coming out soon as well Its getting tricky deciding what GPU I want to buy. The GTX 970 is the price range/performance range I am looking at but is it worth buying its AMD counterpart? I am hoping to pick one up with a good black friday and if not christmas sale. My current build = http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/MAOwarrior/saved/#savedbuild_676173

Running 1080p they all should be fine, the 390 will give you a slight edge in performance over the 970, but since that 380x coming soon, the price of that might land right below 970 and that would be a good deal for the same performance.

I agree man it is tricky with prices and whatnot. Was thinking about getting the 390 (can get it for around $275 on Jet.com) but with the 380x looking to be $250ish I might look into that. Still not sure since I'll still have the money to throw at the 390 just in case I do get a 1440p monitor but i'm still constantly debating until BF/CM. I should have $550 or so saved up and still need to buy a good PSU and wanting to get RAM & more case fans as well.
