A i5 4460 would be the cheapest option or you could go for a i6 6600K if you want the latest and greatest and be able to overclock.

Would the 4460 be a good enough improvement for the cost of it? I would also need a new mother board.

Its going to be a decent improvement. Also you could go for a i5 6500 if you something middle of the road or a i5 4690K if you want to overclock but I would personally fork over the $30 extra for the i5 6600K. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

What is your budget, will you be using the same memory, or want to goto DDR? If you are not into "K" series intel, than I would recommend any Skylake, which will get you to the newest chipset features. www.tomshardware.com put a good article together. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/newegg-system-builder-marathon-q4-2015,4401.html

I would like to keep my budget under $600 if possible and that would include CPU, DDR4 8 or 16 gb and a mother board.Thank you for the article.

I would goto www.hardforum.com and I found someone selling a I7 6700k, GA-z170x Gaming 7 for $510.

Found this person selling a i5 660k for $175.

http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1887785&highlight=6600k

I would go for 16GB of memory. G.skill is looking to be the most versatile on the DDR4 front of all the motherboards, but I would check the motherboard websites for memory compatibility.

I would get the CPU as mentioned above, the motherboard mentioned above or gibabyte z170 UD5.

I know a couple of days ago newegg had the Gaming 7 for 189 after rebate.

Hope this helps.

That looks to be exactly what i would like. But would the i5 be a improvement from the 8350? or would a i7 be more worth the price? Thanks for your help.

Price vs. performance is not there for the 6700k.

Just remember upgrading to Skylake is not FPS, its the platform, allowing to use newer speeds from SATA and m.2

Never mind on the 5820k, it is way to expensive. So just between the 4790k and 6600k? Again thank you for your help.
