According to AC's wikipedia page : "The games are set in a fictional history of real world events and follows the centuries-old struggle between the Assassins, who fight for peace with free will, and the Templars, who desire peace through control."
The Assassins are seen and potrayed as good guys, the protagonists, the ones you should root for. The Templars are seen as bad, evil, antagonists, you shouldn't follow them. But both desire peace, albeit through different means/methods.
In western politics, political desires are seperated into two groups, the liberal left, and the conservative right. Lefties want higher taxation for companies, "robin hood taxes", and equality. The poor can't work, forced unemployment welfare is nessasary. Criminals should he rehabilitated. They believe that corporate behavior be regulated by the government ; CONTROL, BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING. Righties want freedom, if you have a dollar, use it for yourself. The rich are hard working, the poor and homeless are lazy, they choose not to work. Criminals are no good rotten thiefs and should be eliminated from society. FREEDOM
Sound familiar? Yes, it does. The Assassins are conservatives, they want peace through freedom and are not afraid to kill their opposition to achieve it. They are perceived as the good guys. The Templars are liberals, they want peace through control and are not afraid to murder their opposition to do it. Ubisoft are all staunch supporters of conservatism and are brainwashing gamers into the conservative mindset, although not explicitly.
You wont find this anywhere else on the internet. Im the only one outside of ubisoft who found the truth. If you read this, hide, ubisoft is coming for you because you now know too much.
