GTX 1080 TI?
These guys know something we don't? The brace is cool, but when did a 1080 Ti even get announced? All I've read is rumor.
Edit: Read an article about a shipping manifest with presumed 1080ti's in it. Cool!
I believe it was confirmed but no specfic details on price/date. Rumored $800-$900 with a launch during CES in January
Wishful thinking...maybe 900 series will go lower in prices more quickly.
Maybe used, usually when cards go out of production retailers mark up the ones they have left because it becomes a "limited" item. They usually go heavily discounted once they are 2-3 generations old. Which is dumb but that's the game.
Also, I wouldn't imagine a ti card affecting the prices of old cards much if at all as the target markets are completely different. Ti cards target big spenders who are constantly getting the best tech, while old cards would be bought by the more frugal minded gamer. When 11 series cards hit I would expect a good dip in price from 9 series though.
More heat on the 980ti is what I'm looking for in the used market.
Lol that replacement part is always sickening. My daughters 1060 performs almost as well as the 780ti. Sad.
