Hello ppp community!
I'm going to need the help of some veteran builders today. I'm working on a little project to build a Windows XP machine to play a lot of my old games. Games from 1999-2005. I can get these to run on my daily rig, but there's something nostalgic about playing it on time-appropriate hardware.
I've already purchased the majority of the build from various sources, after doing tons of research for parts released during that time frame. However, with parts from that era being so difficult to find (and when you do find them people tend to want stupid amounts of money for them), I had to settle for my second or third choices for some of these parts.
What I'd like to know is, how balanced is this build? Something tells me the CPU might bottle neck the GPU, but I've also read that the processor I got can overclock like a monster. Then again, I've also read that RAM often limits the overclock possible, which also depends on the motherboard. So is my RAM insufficient for a good overclock? I'm not sure, so I'd love for some opinions!
