What if Intel decided to release a gold CPU?
...but this is a stupid idea
Naw, cmon its a great idea.
you can't have a transparent CPU cooler, you need a metal plate for heat conduction and transfer. that plate is what in the end will stop the cpu from being seen ever. Also there is a pump in the cpu block for an AIO, so it would look ugly in the end.
It was just a joke, but I know.
no, no, no. Mixing metals might be a bad idea.
The CPU is covered by the thermal paste and cooler regardless, so you wouldn't see it. A very pointless waste of resources for two companies that are already behind where they want to be in production.
Transparent coolers and transparent thermal paste. That's extraordinarily hard but still doable.
Transparent coolers won't work. Transparent CPU coolers would be prohibitively expensive or extremely useless for it's cooling purpose.
Like there are rose gold cpus :O
The CPU is covered by the CPU cooler, you won't be able to see it at all, doesn't make much sense to make them different colors...
At least add LEDs to them because they are the last part of a PC that isn't RGB.
you can't even see them...
Transparent CPU coolers are the solution. Maybe put the LEDs on the side of the CPU?
That would never work.... the CPU is too small and you wouldn't see it anyway with the cooler ontop...
not true, have you seen an RGB HDD? or RGB cables? or what about RGB radiators?
Yeah but have you seen RGB RGBs??
Forget the colored CPUs, just add RGB lighting to it and then you got yourself a 200 percent increase to performance and swag.
this would happen
C'mon guys, you don't see what he's doing?
I'd rather a company like EKWB include multi-colored heatspreaders with their clear waterblocks
But they would be blocked since the coldplate is metal...
What intel actually needs to do is work on their pricing.
