I know there is like kijiji and craigslist but I mean like stores. I have been to my local Freegeek but it is GARBAGE becuase they have piles of stuff untested and I would love to test it for them but im 13 so I don't think they would be too happy about me testing it. Also its a 40 minutes drive to get there :(

One thing you can always try is to visit local computer repair shops. (privately owned ones are the best) and ask them if they have any old or broken computers that they are going to be getting rid of or don't need anymore. I've done this a few times and was able to pick up 3 old towers on one occasion for $20, although they had the hard drives removed for data security reasons.

Estate sales, University sales, and closing offices can have some great deals on old PC's. I picked up a tower with an i7 3770 and 8 gigs of RAM for $20 at a closing office.
