Install Linux OS (Fedora, Ubuntu, etc) natively? I don't currently have a USB stick to hold it in.
The most convenient way to install any operating system is with a USB stick. Why not buy one in store or online for a few bucks:
not really unless you have an ssd/hdd that you want to make bootable and then have another one for installing it onto...
It's a headache to do so other than with a USB stick. If you can't afford one - which is hard to imagine because they are generally less than $10 for one, but I'm not in your shoes so no judgments - you can always try hitting up manufacturers/vendors and ask for some swag - specifically, for USB-branded swag. There's a forum I'm fairly active on for IT support (called Spiceworks) and vendors there are more than willing to hook up active forum members. Good luck!
lol usb branded swag
Sorry, I have a one year old that has kept me pretty sleep deprived lol...what I meant to say was that a lot of vendors get their logo stuck on USB sticks and give them away as swag. :)
Ohh. Cool :P
They're like $10 at a Walmart. But you could always use a DVD to make the boot image, will be dreadfully slow though.
