2200G

  • has a 'cooler'
  • named 'Wraith Stealth'
  • 54mm tall,
  • fits 95+% of all itx cases.
  • all good cases would fit good cpus
  • doesnt fit in a case call 'Inwin Chopin'
  • one of the smaller ITX cases
  • fans could be added in all good itx cases

need to decide on case, but this is one of the many options:

You would have to make sure the stock 2200G cooler fits or get a low profile cooler. You can always add a case fan if needed.

Most cases will fit stock cooler that comes with a 2200g, a few are so small it may be too tall, it is just something to check.

Most cases come with a fan or the power suppy is the fan, but if you have cooling problem you can add case fan no problem.

Not the cpu, the cpu cooler. Air coolers stand up vertically from the motherboard and there has to be enough room in the case for that vertical rise. Mini ITX cases come in a whole bunch of shapes from cubes to mini towers and many of the thinner ITX cases don't have a lot of vertical clearance. A large air cooler might need 150 to 170mm vertically and some ITX cases only have 50 or 60 mm.

As for how do you know, PCpartpicker in general will not let you pick a case / cooler combination that doesn't fit. But to be sure, you go to the manufacturers' specification page for the case and the cooler and look up the case clearance height and the cooler height.

The 2200G comes with a Wraith Stealth which is 54mm tall, should fit into most but not all cases. For instance it won't fit into an Inwin Chopin which is one of the smaller ITX cases.
