I'm building my first pc with a ryzen 5 2600x and I was wondering if this cooler would be able able to keep my cpu at a good temp when slightly overclocked and not be too loud.

I'm going to put in my word for these guys that perform either the same as the 212X or better, all while being less quiet and cheaper.

Other suggestions are good, but pricing and availability may be different on some of them for the Canadian Market

The cooler is massively overpriced compared to how it performs, the other comments in this topic provide much better options for cheaper

...when slightly overclocked

There is no slight overclock on a 2600X.

As the Hyper 212X Dual will be a better cooler than the stock one, this processor should run near 4.0GHz across all cores, without even manually touching the stock clocks of that CPU.
