H7 vs clc 240

So I could buy a cryorig h7 quad lumi for around $65, or I could go with an evga b stock clc 240 for around $70. Or, should I save money and buy a hyper 212 black edition?

I am using a ryzen 5 2600 and a phanteks p400 tg

So i can get a refurbished dark rock 4 for less than $50, but is the tdp too high for a 1600. I don't really know how that stuff works, but shouldn't your cooler and cpu have similar tdps?

Nah, the higher TDP, the more power hungry CPU (1600 - 65w TDP vs Dark Rock 4 - 200w TDP) that particular cooler will handle easier with less thermal throttling and vice versa - the less TDP cooler has and the higher CPU TDP climb, the often thermal jumping will occur.

If you wanna OC, get the CLC 240 hands down!

If not, get a cheaper cooler like...

I would even look at the Noctua cooler here: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/wjmLrH/noctua-cpu-cooler-nhu12s

This is a video by LTT testing that cooler vs AIOs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23vjWtUpItk

for under $60 it is a beast if you can deal with the brown noctua fans. Though the Cryorig H7 performs about as well as a be quiet pure rock cooler and that can be had for about $36 USD.
