Do I need a bigger PSU?

I have an HP envy h8-1500t. Currently I have the OEM 600 watt PSU, I am wanting to upgrade my GPU to a gtx 770. I have the i5 3570k (not overclocked), an nvidea gt 640, 16gb ddr3 ram, a 250gb samsung pro 840 ssd, and a single dvd write drive. My accessories are a corsair vengeance k95 gaming keyboard, a logitech g600 mouse, and a turtle beach x12 headset.

I don't have the money for the bigger PSU and GPU, would I be wasting my time throwing in a bigger GPU without a bigger PSU? Thanks

Do you know the exact brand of the PSU? It really matters in this case because OEM psu's are often very poor quality and don't really output the watts they say. According to GeForce's website you need a minimum of 600 watts, that's why it matters if your PSU can actually output that much.

I run the R9 290 and a AMD 6350 on a 600W, you should be more than fine if your PSU is quality enough.
