Upgrading existing build.

  • Budget: €800
  • Location: Germany
  • Use (gaming, rendering, etc): Gaming(Pubg etc. With decent settings!)
  • Peripherals required (monitor, keyboard/mouse, etc): N/a
  • Operating System required: N/a

Current build looks like this: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/FkTPbX

Was wondering where money is best spent/what you guys would upgrade first? For example is worth it splashing out on one big ticket item that sucks up the entire 800 and then waiting till there's more for the next item?

That i5 is at the end of it's 'life cycle', so I'd probably look into upping the CPU first (the RX 480 isn't too old, so it should be fine for now)

Other than that, there's not too much that needs to be upgraded (could I possibly do something storage-wise, maybe?)

I would probably sell yours as a working PC and rebuild.

https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/N89729

That would be getting 400 for yours.

Interesting idea with selling. The hassle might be a bit much though.

RAM is optional if you already have 16 GB, and I would personally wait to get a new GPU until aftermarket cooler options are available PCPartPicker Part List

It would probably be much better to make a more balanced upgrade that can be purchased in one go
