Compatibility Issues for build

Knee264

So I got these issues on my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MDTkvn

Note:The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with a SATA 6.0 Gb/s port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA 6.0 Gb/s port is disabled.

Note:Some physical dimension restrictions cannot (yet) be automatically checked, such as cpu cooler / RAM clearance with modules using tall heat spreaders.

I wanted to know if everything in my build looked fine, and if there would be any issues.

Basically if you have an m.2 drive in one of the sata connections is disabled, these are used to connect things like hard drives, most motherboards come with many and it is not much of a problem

the second note is not consequential at all it just says that the site cannot see if the ram will hit the cpu cooler but since you are using an atx board and a water cooler there will be no problems

If there is a red warning then something needs to be done

should be fine:

The "M.2" note is normal. Just means that M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with some of your SATA ports. No big deal...and the mobo manual explains this (see page 13, 27, and 28)...if you use M.2_1 then SATA#2 won't work--but you have 5x other SATA ports. Since you only have 1x M.2 that you will use for the NVMe SSD and 1x SATA you will need for the HDD, just don't plug the HDD into SATA#2, and you'll be good.

On the 2nd note, you can check the specs of the various components and it looks like there are no issues. CPU cooler compatibility shouldn't be a problem since it supports LGA1151 mobo (which Z390 is). RAM clearance shouldn't be a problem b/c LPX RAM is not that tall and you're using a liquid CPU cooler (most RAM clearance problems are with air coolers that are too big/low interfering with tall RAM/RAM with tall heat spreaders). Also since you don't have a CPU air cooler you won't have any issues with an air cooler could be too tall for the case. The case supports your liquid CPU cooler (240mm)...can support 280mm and 360mm and even 420mm AIO. For GPU, case supports 310mm long GPU and your GPU is 301mm...plus you could remove the drive cage to create more space (410mm). So in theory this should all fit. All the note means is that PCPP can't automatically check this particular configuration for fit and may also not have this particular build in the database where potential past builder could report potential compatibility issue they ran into.

Hope this helps.
