Black Friday $2000 build

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sbDMvW

Build will be used for gaming, streaming and video editing.

Motherboard Watched everything Buildzoid has to offer, as well as several others, and some comments from his latest video basically saying “if your not running at least a 3900, u shouldnt be looking at an X570 board” kind of helped make the choice. Im hoping to avoid any bios flashback or compatibility issues, but It appears the consensus is the X570s aren’t worth the money. Although there is a pretty good BF deal on the Gigabyte Elite, even tho it doesn’t have WiFi or any sort of troubleshooting features. I’ll be hardwired for the time being anyway and think the Crosshair VII is a better board.

CPU Went with the 3700X, but BF will have the 3800X for almost the same price. So should I get the 3800X if it’s only a $20-$30 difference?

Cooler I know the cpu comes with the Wraith, but I’ve heard mixed reviews. I don’t want to have to take disassemble, clean up and thermal paste another cooler. I’m using the Noctura on my Intel build from last year and it’s awesome (except for the god awful color), but now they have the Chromax black. I know I could save $100 by at least trying the Wraith. So any opinions about that would be appreciated.

Memory Checked against the QVL. I’ve been on the fence about speed and amount. Should I consider 2x16, due to the editing and streaming, or is 2x8 good? Several sales on the lower speeds, but wouldn’t want to go below 3200.

Should I consider additional storage, a sata III or another M.2? Never used or installed anything above sata III.

Power is Newegg BF sale

Case is a Newegg BF Sale.

Monitor is not the exact one, but close enough. It will be a Costco BF sale 1080 144mhz with G-Synch for $179, which is dirt cheap for a G-Synch monitor. I’m using an MSI Freesynch monitor on my Intel build (yes I know that’s incorrect, but it was a BF deal last year and I’ll swap them around).

Community was a big help last year, all comments appreciated 👍

I think it looks good. If you want and are under budget, you could upgrade the GPU. Don't think the 3800x is necessary because it won't be that much of a difference especially if you're not majorly overclocking. Also, if you want more storage, it is up to you to either get sata or m.2 because prices can vary where you are.

Just went with the 2060S based on price. Not really and sort of BF GPU deals that I’ve seen. Considered the 5700, but have been hearing about their problems. If anyone can confirm the Wraiths performance (cooling capabilities and noise) I could eliminate the Noctura and put that money into a 2070S. I don’t plan on doing heavy OC.

The Wraith is decent, but it can run loud. Also not optimal for higher performance and overclocking. In regards to the list by mark5916, switch both storage components to an HP EX920 512gb M.2 SSD and a Crucial MX500 1/2tb (your within budget even if you get a 2tb). The M.2 has NVMe, which is good for booting games and other programs.

This is about $100 more, but you can reduce 2080S to a 2070S. I’ll answer any questions you have.

Also monitor is a placeholder.
