In the market for a new gaming rig and looking to spend around 1200CDN on tower. Im upgrading from an Acer predator helios 300 (i7-7700) laptop. I play COD MW, GTA V, PUBG, Tomb Raider..etc and starting to get into RPG's. This list was recommended to me and was looking to see if anyone would change anything ?

Looks good to me.

No objections really. Heard multiple times that Ventus Cards can become above average loud or much worse very high pitched and hot, but it may be that those were isolated cases. That aside this configuration is phenomenal for 1080p,very good to excellent at 1440p and decent at 4K. Well as long as you are OK to toy with settings for a bit. Just don't try to play Assassins Creed Odyssey with it at 4K unless you wish your PC to explode. If you plan to stream, get 2700X instead.

No streaming..... I was thinking I would like it as flashy as this build. What would I need to change or is his part list going to perform as good as the list I posted ?

2060 destroys RX590. That ASUS motherboard you selected is beautiful and a waste of money. Sure we can make you flashy PC of similar performance to that recommended to you.

Could you make a list with similar specs and I attached but as flashy as the link I posted ?

It will be very similar I promise you. It may be 5 - 10% behind on average. So instead of 120fps,a 108. Or instead of 300fps,270.

So most of the RGB lights come from the case ? Fans come pre-installed in case ?

All(I think)of the RGB lights come from fans. 4 Pre-installed fans. 3 of which are RGB. A friend of mine is veeeery happy with it. But there are other options.

While it comes with 3 pre-installed fans, all 3 are frontal fans. So that 1 should be placed at the back probably.

What do you think ?

Since Tomahawk Max has just 1 M.2 drive, going below 1TB is in my opinion very unwise long term unless also get some mass storage in form a good old HDD. You can get 2TB hard drives for 50$.

IF you will go for 1TB SSD without HDD support, then in my opinion you should go with Crucial MX500 1TB model which is among best 2.5" SATA drives on the market. The undisputed No.1 is likely still Samsung 860 Evo, however competition has some great products as well. Like this Crucial.

There is a very, very small amount of games where Nvme advantage over SATA shows. It does NOT improve game performance. Ever. It influences loading times exclusively and in like 99% of cases the difference is maybe 2 seconds or so. I have 860 Evo 500GB and I am extremely happy with it to put it mildly.

Hey if these 3 fans are flashy enough for you, who am I to complain?
