Budget is $800. This PC will primarily be used for gaming.

I put in a cheaper ssd, cheaper fans. I also put in a 2060 because its a big step up from a 1660 super (and not that much more). I also put in a case with a window in the parametric selection (although that only has 2 fan slots)
You could definitely live with a slightly lesser PSU. A Corsair CX (2017) would be fine.
Find the EVGA 2060 KO which is $300 retail. That should knock about $60 off total.
Or get the 1660 Super which is a great card!
I've had a bad experience with a Corsair CX Bronze. I built a PC for my nephew with it but with a B350-F Gaming motherboard and it would load it into the bios splash screen then suddenly the PC would shut off. Would it have been just that particular PSU or something else?
Just that PSU, it's the only sub-$80 PSU I trust.
Sounds very specific and I doubt it would be a problem here but the 1660 super would save you the money anyway so you could keep the higher end PSU.
There is the AMD 5600xt to consider also.
Okay, I stuck with the Corsair PSU. Hopefully it was just that particular PSU I dealt with in the past. I went with the 1660 Super. I looked into the cheapest 5600xt's and I couldn't find any good reviews. Thanks for the help and suggestion.
What about this PSU?
500W for $70.
