Opinions on the EVGA 500B PSU

I have been looking at this PSU for a little while and was wondering if this would be a good PSU compared to something like the CX series by Corsair.

Yes. The lower end cx series is not that good anyway.

Also, you can get the 600B at best buy right now for the price of that 500B... I just got one for a clients system yesterday because the old cooler master it had crapped out. It was just under $60 after taxes and it seems most stores have it stocked (usually in the game isles)

That was a sale price though, so get it today if you want it.

That EVGA has better specs than the CX series. e.g. Rated/tested at 40°C rather than the typical CX 30°C. With that said, obviously not in the same league as Seasonic, SuperFlower...
