Thermal paste in heatsink?

when i was going to install my stock fan, i removed the stock paste to put my own but i got just a little bit in the heatsink, i just want to know if it is ok if it's in there or i should get it out as fast as possible

I don't get it (you mean somewhere in between fins)... if you can reach it, just clean it but that shouldn't be a problem

the only problem should be if you are using an electrically conductive thermal paste and you drop some on the motherboard...

Yes but if you have not purchased it yet, higher the isopropyl alcohol content, the better. If purchasing from your local pharmacy, they should have Isopropanol alcohol which is usually around 90% isopropyl.

I don't see a reason why there should be old paste left..... just do a thorough cleaning, first use a dry cloth to remove it and then use alcohol as many times as you need.
