Beautiful dark cooler. It might be a bit pricey, but its worth it.
Mounting the cooler and fan is easy.

An absolutely cracking cooler, almost silent and very effective.

It gave me a hard time to choose between HSF and AIO. Finally I followed some advice from the vet and got this one. It is as quiet as its brand name. The cooling performance is better than I expected. I have no problem to OC my 8700k with it.

A number of reviews say this thing is a real challenge to install. It really wasn't. I personally had some difficulties with it because I was anxious as hell having never installed any sort of after market cooler, but once i smartened up, pulled up the YouTube installation video and followed it, it was actually quite straight forward. My only gripe with this cooler is that it impedes my first RAM slot unless I use low profile RAM. Haven't tried OCing the 9700k yet. All cores are sitting at 28-30C while typing this (so idle) at stock configuration.

I know that the 2700x comes with its own decent cooler in the box, but I watched one of Jokers YouTube video on the performance of the stock cooler compared to this one and it was 10 degrees cool so it seemed like a no brainer at that point. I also added one of the case fans to the back of it for better airflow. Seems to be working great!

A HSF that lives up to its name. be quiet! is indeed very quiet and performs very well keeping this 9600k cool under pressure. The fan was a little difficult to get into the fins of the heat sink and the mounting plate could use a little more refinement, I still feel like you need three hands to mount the thing.

from completed build Intel I9-9900k Motion Graphics Rig
This part was recommended to me to cool my Intel Core I9-9900K. Current idle temps are under 32c with the CPU overclocked to 5.0ghz.
Pretty straight forward to install. It was pretty scary tightening the cooler on the CPU. I thought I was going to crush the CPU.
Installing the fans is definitely pretty awkward. Seems like those metal clips are pretty standard.
Cooler looks great and runs super quiet. It came with a Fan Splitter which is awesome because my other premium fans did not.

from completed build I can’t stop staring at it. Clean new build in an older case.
I wanted to try a higher end air cooler with this build and loved the look of the Dark Rock 4. I like being able to see the RAM and IO shield and didn’t really need the larger Dark Rock 4 Pro. Installation is really easy, much less stressful than installing the AIO cooler in my previous build. It runs quiet for my use case, you can hear it when stress testing but silent when gaming. I’m using it to cool an 8700k (not delidded) OC’d to 4.8GHz at 1.29V, it keeps me around 80°C in Prime95 small fft with AVX. The cooler fan does impinge on one RAM slot so I’d have to move the fan up about 1mm to run 4 RAM sticks.

from completed build Meshify-C ARGB Airflow
I should specific I have the Pro version (not listed for some reason)! An absolute beast of a cooler. After going to an AIO a good few years ago, I never imagined coming back to air for this massive thing but it was well worth it. Install, as always, was 'finicky' but the results are brilliant and stoped me worrying about my hot 3700X.
Just wish there was a little bit of RGB somewhere as it blocks a lot of light from the top and rear fans.
