from completed build (***Updated*** )The Animus

works nicely and very convenient. Helps to bring cable management together.

Buggy software is buggy. Fans would randomly ignore my custom curves and sometimes just stop spinning(I've had this happen in the middle of a game on multiple occasions). Closing the Corsair service and attempting to restart it would sometimes result in the service not starting at all, forcing me to restart my PC entirely.

Aaaahh the commander pro. Totally useless therefore utterly indispensable. Had to have one of these to make the RGB fans "sing" in sync.

It has a lot of wires so be prepared to be good at cable tidying.

Enough connection points for all my fans, LGB lights and thermal wires. LINK Software needed but it worked very well and user friendly.

Awesome piece of hardware, I control half my fans speeds and all my lighting throughout the case for the exception of the motherboard. Was a little tricky getting it setup as you have to upgrade the firmware right out of the box and you have to add each fan individually to your setup and no it doesn't auto detect until after you add each fan and each light strip.

Once you get this thing working, its great. When I installed it I was able to use the USB 2.0 headers on it to power and use the h100 pump I have and the USB 2.0 ports on the outside of my rig. But with the fans started when I started my rig up. Corsair LINK was not detecting it and the light from the RGB HD 120mm fans didn't work. But the fix was easy.

  1. uninstall and reinstall LINK, Close Link if is on.
  2. Turn off you FIrewall
  3. unplug the SATA Power from the Commander Pro
  4. Have a friend take a bent paper clip and press and hold the reset button on the Commander Pro. 5.While still holding the reset button. plug the SATA power back in. The LED on the Commander Pro should start blinking.
  5. Once plugged in, remove the paper clip and your computer should now be detecting the unit.
  6. if prompted, update the driver for it, If not prompted, open LINK and check the device for an update. If so, update.
  7. once finished, restart your pc and you should now have full control on the unit.
  8. Go to the Configure tab and arrange the icons correctly to your rig.

A very convenient solution to connect a plethora of fans, LEDs and temperature sensors. And there are two additional internal USB headers on top of that. The LINK software works great for me, I did not encounter any bugs so far. Helped a lot with cable management in my last build.

This is an absolute must if using the LL120 fans. Its ability to control the fans so well in the Corsair ICue software makes a huge difference.

Amazing little thing. It works with Corsair Link as well as iCue, and can control a plethora of things. If you use it in combination with the Lighting Node PRO, you can control all the RGB fans in your case (lighting and fan speed).
