I ended up going to Lowe's and picking up a package of #10 nylon washers and some very small nuts and secured the posts in that way. It's holding well and CPU temps are staying low, though i have yet to really push the system.

This may seem an odd question, but how did you install the CPU cooler on the MoBo? I'm building the same CPU/Cooler/MoBo/case combination, and can't find anything about attaching the standoffs to the MoBo (there's no backplate).

A great plug piece, but doesn't answer my questions, particularly that of whether there may be a problem mounting a CPU cooler (such as a NZXT Kraken x31).

The A10-7850K is an APU, which is the CPU with a GPU integrated into its design, so it doesn't need the discrete GPU. I'm thinking of perhaps adding a card down the road, but right now it's cheaper and as I said in the first post, intrigues me.

As I said, I can't really go over $600 USD, and I'd like to stick with an AMD processor if possible (personal preference and experience). Thanks for the suggestion though! Got me looking at a few other options.

Still looking for thoughts.

Game tastes run about some, but recent choices include Minecraft, Sims 3/4, Dragon Age. Tend to stay away from FPS and MMO, so not a huge amount of online play. Budget tops at $600, but if I could bring it under $500 it would be nice.
