When and where did you purchase mobo? Did you have to update bios?
Only 37 votes? That is a crime.
+1 I like a thrifty spender.
Also, is there something wrong with the left fan on the heatsink? doesn't look attached.
It was a bluff all along. I knew they wouldn't do you wrong :)
If this isn't featured I'll leave pcpp FOREVER!!!
I use the Shifter as an E-brake. So I bind 4th Gear to the ebrake in game and erase the binding for 3rd gear.
You can see me use it here.
I used a canon Rebel T3. Kind of an old camera but still gets the job done.
The lens is an 85mm f1.8 (portrait lens)
The 1.8 opens the aperture in the lens very wide to let in a lot of light to the sensor and create that shallow depth of field you see in most of the pics (blurry foreground/background)
That combined with a little inspiration from youtube channels like Hardwarecanucks (great pc hardware reviews highest quality camera work, check them out)
I've posted an upgrade to this build also. Dare I say twice. Once where I improved my "cockpit, and the othere where I plasmacut out a new face for the case.
Thanks for the nice comment!
you sir, are missing a few votes
This could do with a few more upvotes.
lol theres a guy trying to rip off your post. He must like it.
Your comment is exactly what I was hoping to see. Really wanted to put this out here and someone else like it as much as me. The guy is a family member with a plasmacutting machine. He has a small private business he runs and let me do this for free but is totally up to cut out more things like this if people have a desire. He already sends things all over the country. Hit me up if you want something like this made!
Oh I see now. The evolve Itx was somewhat new when I made this build. I mentioned this isnt a brand new build in my description. If Im honest I cant even really see my build when im sitting at my desk. Its totally blocked off anyways lol. I'll put that $10 towards a Subway sandwich.
What about it?
If u use the delid tools they make, it's hard to trash it. Then just use tape to cover the PCB. I wouldn't use things like nail polish, the guide I read mentioned only using super glue gel in the corners to allow heat to vent out. I feel like polish would prevent that. I was horrified about what I was about to do, but so glad I did it.
Maybe they will come out with a version two that fixes some of these issues
Thanks very much!
Went from 70c at pubg main menu to 40c. Just as a reference. I got a really bad pick on the 7700k so it was well worth it for me. Wasn't hard, took like 5 minutes to do. My overclock is 4.8 also. It could definitely go higher, but I didn't want to go too aggressive.
Just my 2 cents. I'm still happy with mine, but I can't say everyone will enjoy it. I got it on a killer sale from Newegg also.
IDK if I 100% recommend it though. I think thrustmaster wheels probably feel smoother with their belt systems instead of the gear systems in this one. Kind of grinds when it gets in a pinch.
Why no it was not :). Some Phanteks cases have a top tray that slides all the way out. So you can pre-install all your parts then just slide it in. Pretty easy.
From my original build, here: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/NPV6Mp
Many thanks sir!
Posted two links just now
Its actually pretty good. I'll post a link in my build description of me using it. Feels nice. Considered getting a nicer one but my stand wobbles enough as it is lol
those temps. Did you delid the i7? My temps still hit 60c with an evga AIO. I delided and used thermal grizzly.
One complaint. Not enough upvotes.
Walked right into that one. +1 for classic callbacks.
Surely you jest! There are plenty better builds than mine.
I used pcper for the nitty gritty knowledge. But another site spurred me onto using super glue gel even though the pcper article mentioned the benefits. Murray in the article spreads his TIM pretty wild lol. I can't find my other link but they had better results with thermal grizzly and super glue gel.
I watched a bunch of YouTube videos also to make sure everyone did it the same way. It is pretty straight forward.
My one tip. Aim the TIM directly straight down onto the heat spreader. Seems like it just shoots out on the first push and it will get everywhere. If you aim straight down you only make a big ball of it and you can use the tube to suck it back up.
Thank goodness I threw that pic in there ;)
I used thermal grizzly conductonaut (seems to be what most people are using) and loctite super glue gel only in the corners of the heat spreader.
It's actually a wooden cellphone stand I made for my shop
Oooo I do like the complement lol.
No i didnt take off the stickers till it was done. You can see its off in the later pics.
Thanks, shes in training. But one day she will be my competition lol
Well, it wouldn't quit work. Only because of the way I did it. Used thicker metal that we had on hand and then I just put silicone on the 4 heatsink screws and placed it there. It's sorta rigged in a way but I know it's not going anywhere.
But if I ever get bored and redo it, I have though about acrylic.
It's in the parts list bud.
I'll save ya the trouble though, Cougar 700M.
It's not a great mouse for everyone, but I like it.
Some things are worth waiting for ;)
JK, I moved some around
I have a feeling that your earth is vastly different than my earth lol. However I did just upgrade my 760 (since june 2013) to a 1060. I feel like im in a whole new world lol.
+1 as I gaze over at my not as impressive machine.
I'm digging mine so far also. I like nvidia's gpu boost stuff. without overclocking it will run up to 1950mhz without overclocking if your temps are cool enough. But it was also a breeze to overclock. Mine sits at 2050mhz with low temps and no issues. But I find myself leaving it at default since it runs well regardless. Waiting to see how it runs Battlefield 1. Some youtube vids look promising.
What do you think about that version of the 1060. I got mine super cheap due to an error on amazon's part but I gotta say, its one of the ugliest cards I've seen lol. Ive been considering taking a dremel to that phat bulge on the end.
That gpu puts out some light
May the god of Dremmel shine down upon your soul.
