Agree with this comment. After looking at all these comments, most users probably wont purchase the card here, but you could fool anyone on Craigslist, like he commented above. Good luck with the sale.

sellers on ebay have to pay ebay/paypal a % of their sales. Overall, its like 15% of the sale, so $170 is about what it would go for NOT on ebay, according to your findings. Think about that next time you post about how ebay prices are "this and that"

yeah, i know the rules and i wasnt selling the key by itself. Key comes with everything included and is geniune. windows 10 keys are tied to the hardware, so if this does get parted out, that key goes out the window.

overpriced is an opinion, but thanks.

i went trying to look through a bunch of gpus trying to figure out that gpu. i guessed a gtx 560 or 650 based on the cpu generation. Since the gpu is not watercooled nor is it high end, its a deal breaker for me.

good looking out tho.

If its a 4gb gtx 770, then maybe. 2gb gtx 770 are going for ~$200 on ebay with some even under $200 (and not just reference design). If this is a 2gb card, then tough luck trying to sell it for $250 even though its in "great" condition because you can find a much better deal on ebay or even amazon.

That laptop is worth about $900-$1000 new nowadays. I know were talking laptop for a desktop, but value is an important factor here. What are the exact specs of the desktop? What motherboard? Which amd apu is it? If we can figure out how much this desktop is worth then we can see if its worth more or less than the laptop and go from there. From what i see so far, the r9 290x is a great gpu. The a8 processor is good, but need to see the rest.

yeah, i try to keep my responses on target. I know that some people out there will make straight comparisons or talk about heat/power consumption, but it didnt strike me as you had an issue with that at all.

are you watercooling the cards?

i have an evga gtx 760 sc. I can sell it to you for $190 shipped. Brand new, only taken out to test if it works.

depends on budget, how many screens you game on, what resolution, how long you plan on keeping a new upgrade, what games you play...etc.

Power consumption on a gtx 970 or 980 will be WAY lower than running crossfire. Also temps lower, BUT im not really sure if thats an issue that matters to you as much as raw performance.

Maybe a 390x? More vram and if you go sli later, then youre set for higher resolutions, for the next few years.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "what is the cheapest gpu to suppot two monitors?"

the gpus run independently of each other, so its not like sli or crossfire.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Upgrading from r9 280 crossfire"

a single r9 280 (non x) sits in between a gtx 760 and gtx 770. gtx 770 sli can keep up with a single gtx 980. a gtx 970 is better cost efficient route than the 980. I would say to sell your x2 r9 280's and buy a single gtx 970. You could also go with a 390/390x, whichever team your rooting for.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "what is the cheapest gpu to suppot two monitors?"

you can find something like a gt 610 or 620. Graphics cards like that (while useful for builders on a budget) are very good for multi-monitors.

Right now, i have 3 monitors and i game on 1. I have my main monitor plugged into my gtx 780 and the other 2 to my old dell oem hd 7450 low profile card. You can run 2 independent gpus like that.

the moral of the story, any low end card will work. Most low end cards require NO psu power and feed off the pci express lane power. Make sure to look at what monitor ports you want.

Asus A53sd-ts72: i7 2670qm 2.2 ghz gt 610m 2gb 8gb ddr3 1333mhz 15.6" (1366x768) 750gb 5400 rpm hdd windows 7 home premium

my opinion: you could get $300 if its in good condition as a light gaming, schoolwork laptop. Idk, FH100, what do you think? $250-$300 for it?

one last thing. Im not sure if this is a reliable way of measuring ambient temps, but its all i had at the time to go on. I used my smartphone and downloaded a thermostat app and acorrding to that app, my ambient temp was 19C (66F), yet my temps were at 30C. Maybe i got a bad unit? Backplate is on sturdy, doesnt even budge at all. If my h80i could do better at idle by almost 10C, then maybe i got a bad unit.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "corsair h110i gt idle temps help i7 4790 (non k)"

I dont understand how great these temps could be since my h80i would get as low as 24C on idle. This thing is much much quieter (have it on quiet mode atm) and i understand that. Heres another problem that i noticed. I put the power settings at energy savings mode, to reduce cpu speed to about 700mhz. Then i ramped up the fans to MAX speed. My temps still didnt drop at all. Not even 1C. Something is definitely wrong.

Depends on the game. I know that the battlefield and civilization games use hyperthreading. Star citizen also uses HT, i think. Most other games dont utilize it well or at all, so i5 would get similar performance. i7 would be mainly used for rendering, video editing, streaming, heavy multitasking...etc.
